1949 Ford Sedan For Sale

Printer-Friendly Format

The 1949 Ford I am offering for sale is totally original except for the paint. Everything works, original clock, AM vacuum tube radio, heater and turn signals. It does not have overdrive. I purchased the car 9 years ago, it was garaged then and has always been garaged since I've owned it. The person I purchased the car from claimed he had the v8 flathead engine rebuilt at 50,000 mi. It now has 54,565 mi. Every cylinder has 150 PSI compression and it doesn't burn any oil. All grease and oil lubrication has been done on a regular basis. However, since it was stored and was not being used when I purchased the car I completely replaced brakes, wheel cylinders etc. and flushed the radiator and engine since it was running hot. It still runs hot in hot weather. This car is solid mechanically, has no steering or shimmy problems at 65 or 75 miles/hr. It has no rust, starts right up and drives anywhere. The only thing on this car that has been changed is the paint. Not a color I would have picked. I think the car is well worth the price I'm asking. alsupino@optonline.net
